Description: The program aimed to assess and map the quality of life across the municipalities of Metropolitan Athens, and the Urban Analysis Units (URANUs) of the Municipality of Athens. It involved the development of a robust theoretical framework for constructing a composite index for evaluating urban quality of life. This model integrated multiple dimensions, such as socioeconomic conditions, environmental quality, accessibility to services, and urban infrastructure. The analysis employed modern geospatial technologies and methods, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial statistical analysis, with the aim of identifying spatial inequalities and patterns. The ultimate goal was to provide a scientifically grounded basis for the design of targeted interventions and informed decision-making in the fields of urban planning and public policy.
