Laboratory of Human and Applied Geography

The Laboratory of Human and Applied Geography, which was set up as soon as the Department of Geography was established, aims at educating and training students (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral) in the use of quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical and socioeconomic analysis. In the premises of the Laboratory, members of staff, students and research associates design and implement funded research projects related to human geography and socioeconomic research in general.

The Laboratory is located in the new wing of the University. It comprises eight (8) work places equipped with PCs, inkjet plotter A0, three (3) inkjet printers A4, digitizer, designing equipment and light box. Moreover, the laboratory possesses numerous licenses of qualitative analysis software (NVivo), quantitative analysis software (SPSS) and geographical and spatial analysis software.
